100 days to heat up my French

It’s two years since my last trip to France and my French has been on simmer …

… but now I need to turn up the heat to a rolling boil in preparation for my next visit in 100 days!

Here’s my menu of dailyish focused and fun activities to choose from:

  • Active copying from l’ABCdaire du Chocolat as I’ll be going on chocolate tours

  • 5-minute writing on topics I’ll be talking about with friends

  • 3-2-1-minute speaking on topics I’ll be talking about with friends

  • Brush up grammar points such as conditionals

  • Make flash cards with new words/phrases and revise on the bus

  • Listen to the podcast La Voix des Bijoux and note new phrases as I’ll be visiting the Paris, capitale de la perle exhibition

  • Speak aloud when doing housework or in the shower

  • Watch a French TV show in the evening, starting with Soleil Noir

  • Read a book, starting with Une pièce montée

  • Read a news magazine (on the library app) on the weekend to keep up to date with current affairs

  • Play solo Scrabble whenever I’m waiting for a bus, an appointment, etc

In 50 days, I’ll give an update on how I’m going.

Learning on your own doesn’t mean learning alone:

I can help you set up and stick to your DIY language project.
