50 days to heat up my French

I’m halfway through my 100-day programme to get my French ready for my upcoming visit to France.

Here’s an update of the dailyish focused and fun activities I’ve been doing for 50 days:

In the morning, I’ve been revising grammar points that often trip me up and active copying short sections from a chocolate book.

During the day, I’ve been listening to short podcasts, going through my flashcards of new catchphrases and talking out loud to myself (at home). And playing Scrabble when on a break.

In the evening, I’ve been watching TV shows plus reading books in French.

On the weekend, I’ve been reading a news magazine on my library app and doing 5-minute writing to sum up articles so I can talk about current affairs with my friends.

Having a deadline has helped me stick to my plan of doing something nearly every day.

And I feel I’m making progress.

In 50 days, I’ll find out as the proof is in the pudding – on juge l'arbre à ses fruits !

Learning on your own doesn’t mean learning alone:

I can help you set up and stick to your DIY language project.
