What do people say about learning a language when they’re older?

Gundy is an English/German speaker who’s also getting back into French.

  1. How do you feel about learning French?
    I feel challenged yet excited about resurrecting my High School French knowledge!.

  2. What’s the hardest thing about learning French?
    The irregular verbs and all those tenses!

  3. How do you overcome this now?
    Lots of regular practice! The repetitive approach whether it is by reading, speaking or writing or translating from French to English really works!

  4. What are your goals?
    To keep learning new things and to hopefully keep my brain active and flexible!

  5. What’s your advice for older people who want to learn a language?
    Give it a go! It can be very fulfilling and loads of fun. There are so many new and exciting ways to learn a new language these days  An added bonus is the lack of  exam stress as I remember from my student days.
